VISOCOLOR® ECO Cyanide • Colorimetric determination of cyanide • Cyanide ions react with chlorine to form cyanogen chloride, which splits the pyridine ring and forms glutaconedialdehyde. • By aldol condensation with barbituric acid a violet polymethine dye is produced.
