VISOCOLOR® HE Oxygen SA 10 • Titrimetric determination of oxygen • Oxygen determination according to Winkler: in alkaline solution dissolved oxygen oxidises manganese(II) ions to higher-valent manganese hydroxides. • In a strongly acidic medium these form manganese(III) ions which can be determined either titrimetrically or colorimetrically after addition of a colour reagent. • Type: high sensitive titration kit (refill pack) • Range: 1 syringe is sufficient for the determination of 0.2 – 10.0 mg/l O2 1 gradation mark = 0.2 mg/l O2 • Sufficient for: 100 tests with an average oxygen content of 9 mg/l • Shelf life at least :18 months • Sea water suitability: yes • Detectable with PF-11: no • The solubility of oxygen in water depends on the temperature, the pressure and the other components of the water. • The oxygen content of a water at the time of sampling is often quoted as the percentage of the possible saturation.
