Photometric determination of cadmium. • Photometric determination with dithizone. • At a pH > 6 cadmium ions react with dithizone to form primary cadmium dithizonate, which is stable in strongly alkaline medium and dissolves in carbon tetrachloride (tetrachloromethane) highly sensitive with pinkcolour. • Type: standard test 1-13 • Ranges: 10 mm cuvette: 0.02 - 0.50 mg/l Cd2+ 50 mm cuvette: 0.002 - 0.200 mg/l Cd2+ • Sufficient for: 25 determinations • Sea water suitability: no • PLEASE NOTE: This test uses extraction methods and contains chlorinated hydrocarbons. If national or international legal limitations for the use, storage or shipment of tetrachlormethane must be observed, this test is also available without CCl4. The tetrachlormethane is requiered for this test and has to be purchased from a local laboratory shop.
