Water Level Meter • Water Level Meters are designed for fast, easy and reliable measurements of water levels in wells, bore holes, observation tubes, tanks and waters. • The reading is taken directly on the high-precision measuring cable. • Changing water levels (pumping test) can be measured continuously. • Background noise does not make measurements more difficult. • Mode of Operation • As soon as the zero-point of the probe reaches the water surface, a high brightness LED and a buzzer at the cable reel are activated simultaneously. • An electronic switch is operated by the conductivity of the water so that erroneous measurements are largely precluded. • When lifting the measuring cable somewhat, LED and buzzer are switched off immediately so that the reading point can be ascertained accurately. • The depth is read off the high-precision cable in m and cm. • Screw-in Ground Sensors for measuring the bottom of wells and screw-in probe tips with snap-hook can be supplied as accessories. • Technical Data • Cable: high quality polyethylene flat tape with two high-tensile stainless steel strands; hot stamped black cm-graduation with numbering of the decimeters and red figures for the meters • Cable Reel: light-weight hand-reel with break-proof laminated fabric disks for lengths up to 50m (see Pic.1); rugged galvanized support frame for lengths from 80 to 500m or optional for shorter lengths (see Pic.2); spring clips for holding the probe from 30m length • Probe: 15mm diameter, ca. 190mm long, with electrode made of stainless steel; special sealant, strain relief and bend protection • Electronic Circuit: high sensitivity, exact switch-point, no power consumption while out of service • Power Supply: four commercial 1.5V batteries (R14) providing for a long time of operation; convenient replacement of the batteries • All parts of the instrument are corrosion-resistant; the instruments are delivered ready for use including batteries • For transporting and for the protection of the instruments we supply leather cases fitted with shoulder straps for the hand-reel type up to 50m length and strong leather bags with a built-in bottom and lacings for the instruments with support frame, both made of genuine leather
