Description
Photometric determination of chromate.
• Photometric determination with diphenylcarbazide.
• In acidic medium, chromate ions react with diphenylcarbazide to form a
red-violet colour complex. Chromium(III) ions are not determined unless
they are converted to Cr(VI) by silver-catalysed oxidation with ammonium peroxodisulphate/ sulphuric acid.
• Reaction basis analog DIN EN ISO 18412.

10 mm cuvette: 0.1 - 6.0 mg/l CrO42- / 0.1 - 3.0 mg/l Cr(VI)
50 mm cuvette: 0.01 - 1.00 mg/l CrO42- / 0.01 - 0.45 mg/l Cr(VI)
